Facing Forward

During the summertime many families are blessed to go on a vacation. Part of the fun of a vacation is the anticipation. For months in advance you can be excited about what will happen in the future.O14A0464

Realistically, our life and our future isn’t all filled with vacations. There are uncertainties ahead of you and they aren’t as much fun to anticipate.

Walking in faith often means walking with uncertainties. Don’t dwell on what you don’t know about the future. It won’t do you any good to worry about it.

Whether your concerns for the future are about finances, relationships, or health, trust that God will be there with you when the future happens.

In the meantime, enjoy what God has placed in your life today. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.” Matthew 6:34

Besides, God tells us think about good things.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8fatbirdie

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26

Do these sweet little birdies look like they have any worries? Are they ruminating about their past? Nope. They are just moving forward, looking for the next morsel to eat. birds

Aren’t they precious? (I just want to kiss them.) Ahh… and if our heavenly father provides such tender loving care for them, then how much more, dear friend, does He care for you and I!  So don’t worry dear ones. Open your heart to the Lord and put your trust in Him. He knows what your hearts deepest desires are, and He promises to meet our needs – not our greeds.

May your heart be filled with peace and joy as you rest in the promises of His love.
