God’s Word is clear: “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others” Philippians 2:3-4.
Every person we meet – whether homeless or the CEO of a fortune 100 company needs Jesus. Each person has God-given spiritual gifts and talents to use for the kingdom of God. We may not understand what God has in store for them, but we must realize that He loves them as much as He loves us and has awesome plans for them.
We may be tempted to look at others and imagine there are limitations on what they can do or achieve, but we must also realize that the Father doesn’t see as we do. (1 Samuel 16:7). Many people often look to external behavior and arrive at conclusions based on their own experiences, without knowing the other person’s heart. Committing “assumicide” is unwise.
Remember, before Joseph became second in command to Pharoah in Egypt, he was a slave and served time in jail (Genesis 37-45). No one could have seen all the Lord had purposed for him to accomplish. Likewise, the greatest earthly monarch of Israel, King David, began as a humble shepherd (Samuel 16:11-13).
Looks can sometimes be deceiving. This is why, dear friends, your faith must be deeply rooted and grounded in the Lord. We don’t have God’s wisdom into people’s situations and circumstances, and we may not understand His purposes, but we do know we can trust Him completely! ”
“I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:10
Friends, God’s word is holy, pure and true! The more you get to know Him, the more you will see how deeply He loves you! Everything He says – He does!
“And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God,which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13”
The choice to believe His word is yours. And here’s the beautiful thing… the more you store God’s word in your heart and the deeper your love and faith grow, you will find that God will make Himself more real to you. He will become more alive to you in every way! Isn’t that wonderful?
“According to your faith it will be done to you” Matthew 9:29
As you read the Truth, may the Holy Spirit embolden you to live a life of Courage, Conviction and Tenacity so that others may see the good works that He is doing through you!
